About For the People Law Office, LLC
Hailing from Galesburg, Illinois, Alicia spent the first eighteen months of her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Kane and Champaign counties where she handled criminal misdemeanors, misdemeanor traffic, and felony traffic matters. Though her experience was primarily criminal defense focused, Alicia also has experience enforcing child support orders, obtaining criminal history sealing and expungement orders, and successfully challenging civil asset forfeiture in connection with a criminal offense.
Alicia received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University College of Law. Having developed an allegiance to public service and passion for justice in early adolescence, Alicia anchors her representation style to not only exhibiting compassion and empathy but also by recognizing the power of giving people second chances. Equally as important, Alicia simultaneously prioritizes thoroughly reviewing each client's legal matter in addition to providing prompt, comprehensive, and effective client communication.
